Flight to get Dad here!!!
As you all know by now, Dad (Roger) has volunteered to make the road-trip with me back to QC! He’s awesome and one of the best friends I have in life, so I am honored to spend all that time with him.
So honored that I almost fucked his trip up!!!! I can be so stupid sometimes! Here’s the story!!!
I got Dad his ticket to come here, fucked up flight as Air Canada was trying to screw us up as always. Tight budget obliges, I got him a fucked up route as well: QC to Toronto to LAX to SEA! WTF!!!! But it was less than $350 on United!!! Air Canada was asking over $1,200 for that same ticket… and it also was their cheapest!!!
So Dad got at the airport this morning, 5:30am flight… The ticket was under my name… I fucking booked the ticket under my name! What an idiot! What a “toto” like my dad would say! He called me and woke me up at 2am to make sure I knew!!!
Anyways, after using of his French charm on the Air Canada ladies, Dad got on board and safe to Seattle, of course… but not without adventures!!! He almost got strip searched in LAX when trying to board the United flight… He told them his nickname was Dakx, he told them someone booked the flight for him under his nickname, not realizing his real name was Roger… all this to say that:
1) I am a “toto”!
2) This sudden move is stressing me out and I made a bunch of mistakes!
3) French people can charm anyone, specially if their last name is Turcotte!!! hahaha, thanks William for repeatedly saying that!!!
4) He got here safe!!!
So, that was our first of, I am so sure, many adventures on this trip!
