Friday, Takeoff!!

Friday, 9:30am, we were taking off from the Courtyard Marriott in Kirkland. We took I-90 from Bellevue toward Spokane, on the East side of Washington State. After a first stop at Wild Horse Monument (elevation approx. 2500 ft), we had lunch in Ritzville, WA. We then crossed Spokane, WA and headed out into Idaho.

The view through Washington and Idaho was breathless… Mountains are spectacular, but the view from them is even more.

Idaho had some snow on the side of the road when we reached 3000 feet and more. We were having beautiful weather, sunny, no clouds, perfect driving conditions. This is a nice journey.

We ended up the day in Missoula, Montana. Arrived here at around 8:15pm MDT (7:15pm PDT). I drove the whole way with Dad as a co-pilot. It was great. Total distance was about 475 miles (765 km).

Tomorrow is a big day, we are hoping to do more distance, leaving early and relaying ourselves to drive a longer distance.
