Montana is Flat and Long, But We Made It Through!!!
Saturday, October 25. We drove 760 miles (1,223 km) today. Our total so far, in two days, is 1,235 miles (1,988 km).
Our day was long today. We drove for over 12 hours, with stops for gas, food, pictures and stretching, our day of driving was about 14.5 hours. We made it from Missoula, Montana to Bismarck, North Dakota.
Montana is long, really long!! And it’s flat, well… after you pass the Rockies! :) The view was breathtaking. Both Dad and I absolutely enjoyed it.It’s actually quite peaceful to see these giants “stones” appear and disappear, capped up with snow, their top surrounded by clouds.
So we passed the Rockies about 2 hours out of Missoula, MT. The rest of Montana was really flat, filled with cattle, horses, cowboys and crops! But quite a view all around.
After dinner along the Yellowstone River in Glendive MT. We made it into North Dakota during the dark hours, to Bismark, so we don’t know yet what it looks like! :)
Posted after will be a few pictures of our view along the way! More in the morning, we are dead tired now!!!
